InMoment Recognized in 2018 Shatter List for Actively Working to Break Technology’s Glass Ceiling

  • Company’s new “Women of InMoment” initiative, strong executive support, and promote-from-within culture create a dynamic technology environment

SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 18, 2018) Customer experience (CX) intelligence pioneer, InMoment, today announced it has been recognized in the Women Tech Council’s 2018 Shatter List for actively employing measures to help break the technology industry’s glass ceiling. InMoment was among 44 companies recognized based on the development and successful implementation of measures that create inclusive cultures where women can contribute and succeed.

In receiving this recognition, InMoment was noted for its recently launched “Women of InMoment” initiative, strong investment from the company’s CEO, executive team and broader leadership group, and promote-from-within culture. Women of InMoment is an internal global program designed to provide the company’s female staff with opportunities to mentor and learn from one another, develop leadership skills, and connect with service and professional growth activities in the larger technology community.

“I’ve worked in technology my entire career, and have often been the only woman in the room,” said InMoment Chief Marketing Officer Kristi Knight, a long-time WTC board member and participant. “And while I greatly admire and respect my male colleagues, the best work happens when we bring together different perspectives, experiences and skills. We simply cannot accomplish the same things as creatives, engineers or scientists, unless and until we include all the best minds; and many of those are women. The Shatter List is an important reminder that taking deliberate steps to include and support more women in technology isn’t only a nice thing to do, it’s the right thing to do for our businesses. We are very proud to have been included.”

To be selected for this prestigious honor, InMoment was evaluated and scored against hundreds of technology companies on executive engagement, company programming, community investment and women’s or D&I groups. All data was gathered from 10 secondary data sets and required active demonstration of visible activities at all levels of the company showing commitment and progress in these four areas.

“Being included in the Shatter List requires a holistic and active commitment to creating inclusive cultures from the executive level all the way down to entry positions,” said Cydni Tetro, president of the Women Tech Council. “The best practices these companies are developing and implementing to actively champion women boost the teams and individuals in their organization while simultaneously helping shatter the glass ceiling for the entire technology industry.”
