– Utah Business Celebrates Matt Nelson as One of the State’s Most Influential Business Professionals
SALT LAKE CITY (February 9, 2022)— InMoment®, the leading provider of Experience Improvement (XI)™, announces Matt Nelson, InMoment’s VP of Brand, has been included in Utah Business’ 2022 40 Under 40 which honors Utah’s most established professionals.
As a leader Nelson excels in his field for his ability to leverage both strong analytical and creative skills to help his creative team successfully drive and support key business initiatives. During his time at InMoment, Nelson has executed on numerous high-profile initiatives that have brought him industry-wide accolades–including rebranding Mindshare Technologies to InMoment.
Due to Nelson’s dedication and commitment to excellence in his field he has been promoted in rapid succession, from Interaction Designer/Front-End Developer, to Senior Manager, to Design Creative Director, and recently to VP of Brand.

- Managed strategy and integration for three recent acquisitions
- Oversaw three full website rebrands
- Created the idea for “the garage” which is now a full team for user interface design
- Developed numerous customer conferences and in-house event branding
“Matt is very involved in our day-to-day,” says Alayna Leaming, Art Director. “He is invested in us as people and designers. He thinks a lot about our growth, and he comes up with goals for each of us. He is a good leader and a really good friend. He’s a player-coach instead of just a coach. He’s alongside us, doing the work.”
Nelson is an artist and his art was twice accepted into the spring art show (Spring Salon) at the Springville Museum of Art, and he won an award of merit for his work in printmaking. Outside of work, Nelson is devoted to his family and community. He meets weekly with youth in his area, ages 11 to 13, to help them develop their own personal goals, and helps structure group activities that support them in achieving their goals. He is also an active supporter of local museums and community by taking his family out to experience new ideas, experiences, cultures, and foods.
