Empathica Recognized as an “Elite 8™ Company” in the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award Program, and as the 2011 Winner in the “Culture” Category

The Achievers’ 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award program recognizes Empathica for its outstanding work culture.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – November 21, 2011 – Empathica Inc., a leading provider of Customer Experience Management (CEM) solutions to more than 200 of the world’s most respected brands, announced today that it has been named to the Elite 8™ list as part of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Awards. Empathica was specifically recognized as the 2011 award winner in the “culture” category.

“The culture at Empathica reflects our mission statement that we believe everyone deserves to love where they work, shop and dine,” said Mike Amos, Chairman and CEO of Empathica. Added Dr. Gary Edwards, Chief Customer Officer: “We are thrilled to be recognized by the Achievers program as an Elite 8™ company, and will continue to foster a culture that caters to our employees’ creative talents, supreme dedication and ownership of delivering exceptional results for our clients.”

The Achievers (formerly I Love Rewards) highlights outstanding employers in North America that display leadership and innovation across the program’s eight defined elements of employee engagement: leadership, communication, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, accountability and performance, vision and values and corporate social responsibility.

To keep employees engaged, Empathica’s management team demonstrates leadership in “walking the talk” by emphasizing their own dedication to the company and their jobs. Empathica’s open door policy extends beyond individual work spaces as all employees work together in an open environment. Most importantly, executives and management are open, accessible, oftentimes irreverent, and are happy to blur the lines between work and friendship. The culture of Empathica embodies ownership by all employees, a strong results focus, while keeping work fun.

Functionally, Empathica rewards employees for hard work through various team events and activities, giving them access to a company game room, and encouraging participation during company foosball tournaments, a yearly “EmpQuest” company scavenger hunt and regular softball games. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in IdeaGen, a program that fosters innovative ideas for the next great product or service each quarter. IdeaGen winners receive a $250 gift card from one of Empathica’s locally based clients. Programs like the Empathica “Rockstar of the Month” and PinPout (Perfect In, Perfect Out) quality awards also reward outstanding employees and helps ensure that success with long-term and short-term goals are recognized.

“We’re proud to honor these standout companies for their passion and commitment to employee engagement,” said Razor Suleman, CEO and Founder, Achievers. “These companies are setting the standard for the future of the workplace through innovative technology, creative management practices and the realization that their employees are their greatest asset. With this award, we recognize them as partners in our mission to Change the Way the World Works.”
